Small 3pt. Model with 6" Flat Front

This new plow has a 6"
flat front and a tag-along boot to lay 3" & 4" tile. The previous plow was
made with a 8" flat front & that made it pull much harder than this new
plow. The 6" and 8" flat front is bolted onto the plow. This allows
you to lay 4" tile with the 6" and 5&6" tile with the 8". The old plow moved roughly 25% more dirt than this new plow, so
pulled 25% harder.
The front angle on the plow has also
been reduced from 40° to
26°, this
also makes it pull easier.
Many owner say that as much as 80-85%
of the tile they install is 4".
Original Small 3pt. Model
The Small 3pt. model goes about 4 ft. deep, can be pulled by a large
2-wheel drive tractor, and can easily be hauled on a regular pick-up
truck. This model can be laser controlled by putting the 3-pt. hitch in
float, and by having the laser hooked to the plow cylinders. This changes
the pitch on the boot to make it go up or down. We have owners
of the small plow using it this way and say they have good grade control.
Recent improvements to this model -
The single
5" x 24" cylinder has been replaced by dual 4" x 24"
cylinders, for better grade control.
This plow is available with a special boot to install water
lines.
